3 Yelp Tips for More Customers to Your Business

Top Three Things to Do on Your Yelp Profile

Top Three Things to Do on Your Yelp Profile

1. Update Your Hours of Operation

Hey everybody! Whether you’re on mobile or desktop, one of the first things that consumers see when they visit your Yelp profile is your hours of operation. Updating this information is crucial in attracting more people to your establishment. When your hours were last updated, it shows that you are serious about serving your customers.

Why is this important?

With the country starting to open up, more people will be using Yelp to make decisions about where to go. Make sure your hours are updated to show that you are open for business.

2. Update Your COVID-19 Message

During these times, it’s essential to let consumers know what steps you are taking to ensure their safety. Update your COVID-19 message on your Yelp for Business Owners app to convey to the world that you are taking the necessary precautions.

What should you include in your COVID-19 message?

Outline the measures you are taking, such as regular sanitization, mask-wearing, and social distancing. Having an updated COVID-19 message on your profile helps consumers gain confidence in visiting your establishment.

3. Update Your Business Categories

Make sure you are utilizing all the available categories and sub-services on your Yelp profile. This allows consumers to find you more easily and helps in their decision-making process.

How does this benefit your business?

Enhancing your listing with specific services and notifying the world that you’ve added a category or updated your services helps consumers make informed choices about visiting your establishment.

  • Ralph, I have watched a few of your videos and they are helpful. However, your own Yelp has only 4 live reviews and 3 hidden reviews…hence that is why Yelp stinks!

  • Yelp does publish bad reviews with the idea that an owner of a company needs to advertise with them to get rid of the bad reviews. They will publish several bad reviews and keep them prominently displayed for years and hide multiple good reviews and say that the good reviews are not verified. They never say a bad review is not verified. A company will suffer from this idea that a company is not very good since it has these horrible blatant reviews published. it doesn't matter that on average a company will have 98% good reviews everywhere else. I hate Yelp! It is bad for business on purpose. It is totally unfair to the business and to the consumer who is lied to.

  • Great tips, thanks Ralph!!
